Was windy all day....but I was teaching beginners at the SWA event so couldn't get out myself. Very frustrating watching all my mates out there enjoying the good conditions whilst I had to stay on land going through RYA level 1 on the stimulator.

At the end of the day finally got a chance for a quick sail. Wind had dropped off so decided to take out some demo kit from the Starboard guys that were at the event, instead of wasting time rigging up my own stuff. That'll be a Hypersonic then, with a brand new Tushingham 7.5!

Unfortunately by the time I got out the wind had dropped right off, so all I could do was slog out once and then come back again. Arse. But it was interesting getting a feel of the Hypersonic, even if I didn't properly get into the straps on it. On the one or two occasions when I just about pumped it up onto the plane I did notice how it starts to glide right up on top of the
water very quickly, and it felt pretty damn cool - definitely want to try it again in proper planing conditions if I ever get the chance. Also I kept my hair dry by not falling in when gybing despite no wind, plus the sun was shining, so it wasn't all bad.
